5 life lessons from using the Original Pilates Method

1 Practice patience. With Pilates, it’s a slow burn. It takes patience and time but the results last a lifetime. The next time you want a quick fix in life, remember patience is a vertue.

2 Consistency is key. To really feel Pilates in your body, you need to show up consistently over time. It’s the same in life, it’s the small habits you do daily that have the greatest impact.

3 Progress is not linear. Every day is different in Pilates. Some days we feel strong and others we feel like we’re back at the start. Thats the ebb and flow of life. Showing up and trusting the process over time.

4 Commit to a lifetime of learning. You will never know everything in Pilates. Thats the beauty of it, it takes you on a lifetime of learning. The same in life, stay open and stay curious.

5 You can start at any age. Pilates meets you where you are in life. If you’re 20, 50 or 80 years old. In life, you can start over. So don’t hold yourself back and chase your dreams!

Hands-on is not just about correcting form. When it’s done correctly it helps a client to feel the movement more deeply, understand subtle nuances, and truly move with intention.

A skilled teacher’s touch guides you deeper into the exercise, helping you move with precision and progressing your practice.

Becoming 600 hr certified Classical Pilates instructor is a dedicated path. It takes discipline and growth.

Here is a reminder to all apprentices…

Embrace the challenge. Overcoming hurdles builds you. It strengthens your knowledge. It deepens your understanding of Contrology.

Every hour counts. Every practice session helps.

We know it’s challenging some days. You might doubt yourself. The information can feel overwhelming. This is normal.

Remember your “why.” Think of the method’s power. The lives you’ll touch. Joseph Pilates’ legacy you’ll carry on.

Trust the process. Lean on mentors. Connect with fellow apprentices. Celebrate small victories.

Believe in yourself. Passionate and educated teachers like you are needed!
