Take 5 minutes out of your day to get on the Mat and practice Joe’s original Mat sequence this week and remember repetition builds strength, increased flexibility and above all a deeper connection to our bodies.

It’s been great to hear the feedback Nana has been having since committing 2 x Exhale Tower classes per week to compliment her Marathon training.

We know how grueling Marathon training can be, not only for the body but for the mind too.

Pounding the streets clocking up hours come rain or shine and weight training to keep strong 💪🏼 so supplementing that with low impact intelligent movement patterns is definitely the winning formula 🙌🏼

Nanas sessions include:

🤸🏽‍♂️Balancing strength throughout her body
🤸🏽‍♂️Relieving tired muscles and tightness
🤸🏽‍♂️Strengthening her posterior chain to keep her upright to help her run longer and recover faster
🤸🏽‍♂️Keep her spine & joints nice and healthy too 🙏🏼

We added some extra bits in her private session yesterday, to get her mind thinking and muscles working differently when running and weight lifting which will help minimize injuries and get more from her workouts.

She came in tired and ended her session strong and empowered with pull ups on the cadi! 🔥

Pilates definitely brought her body back to life 🤸🏽‍♂️

If you’re training for the Marathon or just a keen runner, make sure to supplement your training with Pilates as part of your recovery.

And this is why class size is SO important!

Here are 5 reasons why we cap classes at 6 max at Exhale

1 Attention to detail. Teachers are able to give far more attention to clients and have the opportunity to watch you move with more detail.

2 Better Results. Clients progress faster with individual feedback and improved technique.

3 Safety. Pilates apparatus can be dangerous (especially the Reformer) when not used or supervised correctly. Small classes allow teachers to keep everyone moving safely.

4 Small group classes are almost like a private, you will get specific cues and hands on feedback.

5 Rapport between client & teacher. It’s easier to build up authentic relationships with smaller classes - we love seeing the amazing bonds that happen at Exhale 💕

We know it’s ski season with lots of our clients off on the slopes this week ⛷️

We’ve been working hard with them in the studios to make sure they are ski fit. Building strong and stable bodies that will help them avoid injury or bounce back if any niggles do arise.
