1. Fitness and Health

By signing up for and/or attending sessions or events using the studios and equipment of Exhale Pilates, clients confirm that they have no health problems which may affect their participation.

It is the client’s responsibility to notify Exhale Pilates before attending any session of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use of the studio and/or which may have arisen or worsened since their last session at the studio (if any).

Clients with low/high blood pressure and/or cardiac irregularities should not attend class. If there is any doubt, the client should consult their doctor prior to attending a session.

Exhale Pilates reserves the right to refuse access to any client if, at its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of studio facilities.

Clients who suffer an accident or injury on the Exhale Pilates premises must report the accident or injury and the circumstances in which it occurred immediately following the accident or injury to a staff member at the studio.

 

2. Pregnancy Pre & Post Natal

Clients who are pregnant or immediately following pregnancy will be able to participate in the sessions, subject to advice or consent from their doctor. These clients understand that their level of participation in sessions and which exercise to perform must be determined by themselves, in consultation with their physician, and that Exhale Pilates teachers or staff are not responsible for the intensity of their participation. These clients should stop all activity immediately if they feel any discomfort. Upon experiencing any discomfort at any time, either during or after class, the member shall immediately contact their treating physician/GP/Midwife to inform him/her and seek advice.

Clients who are pregnant, or immediately following pregnancy, understand that the teachers at Exhale Pilates are not physicians, nurses, or emergency medical technicians. By making exercise classes available, the teachers and the business are not undertaking any responsibility regarding the clients’ medical condition(s).

Clients who participate in any exercise program while pregnant, or immediately following pregnancy, may increase the risk of injury to themselves and, if applicable, to their unborn child. Clients hereby personally accept any and all risks associated with participating in sessions at Exhale Pilates.

Any information held by Exhale Pilates regarding the health status of clients who are pregnant or immediately following pregnancy shall be treated as confidential and only be released in accordance with GDPR Regulation.

 

3. Bookings and Cancellations

In the event of Exhale Pilates canceling a service, clients will be credited back to their account.

Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. A client may use the waitlist facility at exhalepilateslondon.com in the event a spot is not available in a session. If a client joins the waitlist for a particular session and becomes automatically enrolled, their booking will be subject to the Terms and Conditions in the usual way.

Clients can book or reschedule sessions for themselves via the website: exhalepilateslondon.com, the business app, MindBody app, in person, phone or email.

Clients will be charged for a session where cancellation or the rescheduling of a session is not made online or notice of the same is not delivered in studio, via phone or email at least 24 hours prior to the booked time for a session.

Clients enrolled into a monthly recurring membership will be charged for all late cancels and no-shows at the single class price specific to that membership. Any unused credits at the end of the month will automatically expire.

 

4. Use of Facilities

Clients are advised to not use their phones during class. Should clients be expecting an important phone call, they are advised to notify the teacher prior to the session starting. 

Clients are entitled to use studio facilities provided. Exhale Pilates may at any time, without notice remove all or part of its facilities for any period in line with any cleaning, repair, alteration or maintenance work or for reasons beyond the control of the studio or the business.

Clients are required to follow the instructions of the teacher at all times and clients are not allowed to use any of the Studio’s equipment unsupervised and outside the sessions.

Clients under the age of 18 should contact the studios directly to advise accordingly. Upon completing privates, clients aged 16 and over can join classes upon teacher’s consent.

 

5. Session Times

Details of session times at the Studio may vary from time to time. Session times will be available either at the studio or at exhalepilateslondon.com.

 

6. Lateness

Exhale Pilates lateness policy can prevent clients from taking part in a session if you are more than 10 minutes late, unless otherwise consented by the teacher of the session. Lateness to a private session is handled at the discretion of the teacher the client has booked in with. This policy is in place to prevent injury and to be mindful of the teacher and other participants in the session.

 

7. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings are brought onto the studio premises at the client’s own risk. Exhale Pilates does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

 

8. Dress Code

Clients are requested to wear a form of dress appropriate to the practice of Pilates. Clients are advised not to wear clothing with zips. 

Clients are asked to attend sessions barefoot or, with socks, preferably grippy socks.

 

9. Safety & Hygiene

In the interests of safety and hygiene, only water is permitted in the studio. 

Other than the exception of guide dogs, no pets are permitted in the studio spaces. 

Guests are permitted to wait for clients in reception waiting areas. Exhale Pilates accepts no responsibility for guest activity or loss of guests items. Each guest has a duty to take care of his/her own safety.

Exhale Pilates advises that all new clients to our studio enroll into one of our Intro Offers. Clients enrolled into this service will receive an induction to the studio apparatus during their first visit. By enrolling into a session, clients confirm they understand how to use the equipment and shall, at all times, comply with their safety protocols. 

Safety of its clients is crucial to Exhale Pilates. Our trained Teachers may, where possible, provide corrective touch during sessions to ensure that clients are safe and maintain correct form. If it becomes apparent to a teacher that you are unable to use the apparatus correctly and/or cannot follow their instructions, the studio reserves the right to have you attend a session at a level applicable to you.

 

10. Session expiry dates

All Intro Offers are valid from the date of the first session. 

Membership packages are valid from the date of purchase and thereafter on the same date of each subsequent month.

All other sessions are valid from and include the date of purchase.

 

11. Payments

Details of session prices are available at exhalepilateslondon.com or directly from the studio.

A client may not attend any session at the studio without first booking and paying for the relevant session. 

We are a cashless studio and we accept all major credit cards.

Exhale Pilates does not offer refunds, transfers or exchanges on any purchases. 

Exhale Pilates offers package extensions for both classes and privates for a fee of £50. You can reach out to us at [email protected] to confirm payment and extend a package.

 

12. Recurring Payments

Clients are able to book a recurring appointment for a Private/Duet/Trio at any studio as long as they have a payment card saved to their client account. 

To make a recurring booking, the client confirms permission for Exhale Pilates to charge their client account for package renewals. 

 

13. Limitation of Liability

​​Exhale Pilates cannot be held responsible for any particular session, teacher and/or item of Pilates apparatus not being available for whatever reason. Exhale Pilates reserves the right to make alterations to the sessions, teachers and/or equipment, as well as to facilities, provided to clients, without notice, and in its absolute discretion.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any program which they follow or class which they attend. Clients accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and using specialist equipment. The advice provided by our teachers at no time constitutes medical advice in substitute for the advice provided by a medical professional.

Exhale Pilates accepts no liability for loss or damage to property of clients on the studio premises or outside of the studio. By participating in the exercise classes and using the facilities at Exhale Pilates, the client hereby waives and releases the business from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages to the client.
