Fluidity of movement and the spine using the Cadi 🫶🏼

I often say to my clients and apprentices: “Just move.”

Don’t get stuck in the exercise. Don’t try to control the movement too much.

Whilst Pilates was originally called Contrology, we can sometimes take that too literally.

Movement should never feel rigid, stuck or forced and when we overwork or try too hard, we can lose the natural flow in our bodies.

Our bodies are designed to move with rhythm, flow and adaptability in a calm, connected way and how we move will often reflect the state of our nervous system.

This workout for me was exactly that. A way to release tension in my body, which in turn helped quieten and regulate my mind.

A pretty powerful tool to have 🙏🏼

Sometimes the body doesn’t need more effort. It simply needs the space to move differently.

Try my “just move” mindset 🥰 And notice the magic that happens when we stop overthinking the movement…
