Opening in January, our team will be working incredibly hard to create another special and welcoming space, so we can continue to spread the Pilates love now in central London.

BTS of a fantastic weekend with Exhale’s new Full Comp apprentices.

It was also amazing to be reminded of our global community, and how Exhale Education programs are recognised Internationally too as we welcomed apprentices from all over the world in this group including Germany, Finland, Greece, Barbados, Switzerland, Chile, Sheffield, Manchester, Holland, France and London. 🙌🏼

A big shout out to my incredible Education Team Hannah, Isabelle and Emily who supported me this weekend as I bounced about and Lindsay and Anna who were also there to lend their eyes and hands. ❤️

Calling all gym bro’s 🏋

Hands up if you’re guilty of only training your chest, biceps, legs, and abs when you’re at the gym and neglect your posterior chain?

It’s vital to not only understand the importance of posterior chain muscles, but to concentrate on recruiting them when working all muscle groups.

This will help to not only to keep your posture on point and support alignment but to minimise imbalances in the body which lead to injury, ie back and shoulder issues which is a common problem we see a lot.

The good news, Joe Pilates considered all of this when he created his method Contrology so when you take a class with us you’ll be covered.

Outside of the studio, here are 3 tips to look after your posterior chain

🏋️‍♂️ Include dedicated posterior chain exercises: ie deadlifts, squats, lunges, hip thrusts, and rows into your routine BUT concentrate on recruiting your back and core muscles when doing so.

⚖️ Balance your workouts: Ensure you train both the front and back of your body equally as well as not just concentrating on weight sessions or cardio.

🧘‍♂️ Take recovery sessions BUT make sure they are recovery sessions not another high muscle stimulating workout. Your joints, muscles and mind need a break to and to get you the results you want quicker

👌Focus on proper form: Correct form is crucial for effectively engaging the posterior chain. You’ll get more bang for your buck and get you to your goals without having to stop your good intentions and routine due to injury.

We love that we have so many pieces of apparatus at the studio that help target and wake up every single muscle group ensuring a full body workout.

It was great to train the beautiful @zozoewitherspoon so she could feel the experience of what we will be offering at @siroonezaabeel from next month.

Not only will we be sharing our love for the Classical mat, we will also be offering private 1-1 apparatus sessions on pure Classical apparatus - a combination that completely changes the feeling of the true works of Pilates.

Anyone that books a Pilates session will also get full access to Siro recovery suite and lounge (including the sauna, plunge pool and more). What’s even better you don’t have to be a member or hotel guest to book.

In a world of constant distraction, Pilates at Exhale gives you a chance to come back to yourself 🙏

We don’t have music at our studios, to allow our clients to really focus on the movement, technique and being as present as possible in connecting their breath, mind, and body together.

We also minimise cueing and too much direction to allow our clients to find their own rhythm in their body and another important tool to be present with themselves rather than external distractions.

Pilates created his practice to strengthen the mind, body and spirit. Which is often overlooked.

Quieting the external allows you to work deeper internally and why so many of clients leave their sessions feeling so empowered and centred 🫶🏻
