WHY EXHALE

Our teacher training program recognises and welcomes all teachers certified through other reputable Pilates organisations. Our Bridging programme is a must for anyone holding a full comprehensive certification and who are keen to delve deeper into the Classical work.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This course is for you if you have already been certified as a fully comprehensive Pilates teacher and want to become certified in the classical method. Bridging is perfect if you are ready to gain a deep and practical understanding of classical Pilates to offer to your clients.

HOW IS THE COURSE BROKEN DOWN

The program is a 600-hour apprenticeship in total which includes the workshop weekends, observation, self-practice, summary workshops, live teaching and mandatory participation in privates and group sessions.

The course is divided into 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. For each level there is a 3 – 4-day workshop taught by experienced Exhale Pilates teacher trainers bringing you a wealth of knowledge, detail, and teaching experience. At each Workshop apprentices receive a syllabus manual containing detailed analysis of each exercise required, complete with teaching tips and anatomy notes.

WHAT WILL I BE QUALIFIED TO DO?

Following successful completion of the Bridging Programme and certification as an Exhale Pilates-certified classical method teacher, you’ll be able to teach the full repertoire of classical mat and apparatus exercises.

You’ll be able to teach a full repertoire of classical mat and machine exercises. You will be qualified to teach 1-1 & group sessions with clients of all levels, ages, abilities.

WHAT DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?

Before starting the programme, you will need to have been certified as a fully comprehensive Pilates teacher by a reputable organisation. Bridge applicants must have passed and completed a minimum of a 450-hour comprehensive program. Do note, that If the candidate requires more than 300 apprenticeship hours, the candidate will need to apply for full certification.

To successfully complete the programme, you will need to attend three seminars (basic, intermediate and advanced) and complete 300 practice hours before completing the advanced exam.

There will also be exams to certify. You’ll need to pass a practical and written exam at the end of each of the 3 phases of the course (basic, intermediate and advanced).

WHAT WILL I GAIN

On passing, you will receive a globally recognised certification to teach all over the world. You will be a well-respected 3rd generation teacher in the classical system that was Joseph Pilates life’s work. You will add another teaching style and vocabulary to your current skills. You will gain new ways to cue, look at a body and use the apparatus. You will also be part of a supportive community and gain friendships for life.
