Cristy came to me from America after a stroke, hoping time with her daughter Amanda (who is now one of our amazing teachers) and her grandchildren might lift her spirits.

She arrived feeling very low, unable to walk and with little sensation on her right side, despite 9 months of physio.

We worked together 3 times a week for 3 months using the Pilates system to rebuild strength, trust, and confidence in her body.

Step by step, she began to change.

She went from not walking to taking over 10 unaided steps (as seen here), and even began to feel sensation return.

I’ll never forget her telling me she could feel her hand again… I cried, and she laughed and comforted me.

Cristy reminded me that this work is about so much more than movement—it’s trust, belief, and connection.

She will always be one of the reasons I do what I do. 🫶🏼

‘Here comes the Exhale Bride 👰

Arabella came to Exhale wanting to feel her best for her wedding day. In the process, she has gone from someone who viewed exercise as a chore to someone who genuinely looks forward to her 3 visits to the studio a week - she never misses her early morning Pilates class at Marylebone!

It’s been incredible to see how much she has progressed with a mix of Private sessions and Tower and Reformer classes.’

And breathe … they made it! 🙌🏼

After 600 hours of commitment & dedication these wonderful apprentices passed their advanced physical exam yesterday!

Time to celebrate & enjoy the weekend, they certainly deserve it!

My cup is full.

What an incredible weekend sharing my passion for the Classical work at ‘Pilates on Tour’ London.

Teachers from all over the globe, all with different backgrounds - some deeply rooted in the Classical method, others experiencing it for the very first time. Yet everyone arrived with open hearts and open minds, united by a shared language: a love for movement and learning!

Grateful to @balanced_body for inviting me to represent @contrology.bb and to share the powerful difference that the combination of true classical work, on classical apparatus, can create in the body.

It was a really special couple of days meeting and connecting with some incredible people, whilst doing what I love.

You can’t ask for more than that!
