Unilateral work has officially moved to the top of my 2026 list!

Single-arm Spine Stretch Forward on the Wunda Chair was a great reminder of how motherhood and repetitive every day tasks quietly create imbalances throughout the body.

For me the repetitive task of feeding and holding the baby on one side is one of the culprits.

Its reduced shoulder blade engagement and tightened the upper back, which all shifts how each side of the spine is supported.

Taking this exercise unilateral made it obvious to me how much my left side was tighter and less connected than my right (no surprise, its my feeding side)

Note to self: switch sides often (even when brushing teeth), train one side at a time, and keep the upper back moving.

Because balanced bodies aren’t about perfection, they’re about awareness, and that’s my mantra for next year! 😉

A breakthrough moment ✨

There’s a special kind of magic in getting somewhere you’ve never been; not because the shape is impressive, but because of everything it took to arrive there.

In Thigh Stretch, the beauty isn’t in the final extension, it’s in what you connect to along the way.

The Breath. The Butt. The Patience. The Intention.

This weekend wasn’t just about learning exercises. It was about guiding our apprentices to move with purpose and integrity, and to trust the journey more than the shape.

In Pilates strength never comes from chasing shapes.
