Do you struggle with the side sit-up on the Reformer?

You’re not alone, this is a challenging exercise for many.

Rather than forcing the movement, we use the full method to support your progress.

You may begin on the Ladder Barrel to find length and support, then move to the Wunda Chair to deepen your connection to the side bend.

As strength, control, and awareness build, the side sit-up on the Reformer begins to feel clearer, stronger, and more accessible.

Today marks the first day of @benjamindegenhardt World Phenomenon, March Matness. A month devoted to Joe’s original 34 mat exercises. No deviation, No dilution, just the pure work of a genius and the way he created it.

We will be sharing every Monday posts to show you how the matwork can be used in day to day life to keep your body and mind energised.

It’s a powerful sequence to follow so if you’ve never committed to it, this is definitely the month too!

* While there is no primary, written record in Joseph Pilates’ own books—Your Health (1934) or Return to Life Through Contrology (1945)—where he explicitly says, "The mat is the master apparatus," the phrase is widely attributed to him within the classical Pilates community and is considered an accurate reflection of his philosophy.
