New to Exhale? Get started with one of our Intro Offers here
The Exhale program is a 12 month Full Comprehensive teacher training programme.
When you enrol you become an Exhale trainee apprentice. You will cover the full system of Classical mat and apparatus exercises that Joseph Pilates created and be able to teach from beginner through to advanced level.
You will learn the true art of teaching Pilates, combining Joseph Pilates’ methods with Exhale’s unique approach. You will become an effective, safe hands-on instructor and will know how to confidently modify and teach the work to any client of varying needs and abilities.
*We recommend booking a private session where you will be advised on what to work on to prepare for the assessment. A minimum of 25 hours of Pilates in a classical studio is advised to learn the exact order of the Intermediate Mat and Reformer and receive personal corrections to improve self practise. You will be required to do an assessment private to be accepted onto the Full Comprehensive or Bridging course. The Exhale Pilates education team will be assessing the ability to demonstrate the work with discipline, to respond to cues, to understand the intention of the exercise and to be physically at an Intermediate level in strength and mind, body connection.
I discovered Pilates while dancing at university and loved how it made me feel. Pilates has given me a sense of discipline and connection to my mind and body as a whole system. With my dance background it felt a natural move to teach Pilates. I’m classically certified through the United State Pilates Association and taught in New York before moving to London and joining Exhale’s wonderful community of teachers and clients.
I want my sessions to engage mind and body, so every client feels good, strong and confident afterwards. I love watching a movement ‘click’ for a client – you can see the sense of accomplishment they feel.
