Celebrating the small wins 🙌

Both Shoshi and I had not tried the exercise Rocking in a while and there was nothing pretty about it but then that’s not the intention of Pilates.

It’s about how we progress in our own bodies that’s the real win.

We all have limitations in our bodies, some which will progress over time with consistent practice and then there are some exercises our bodies were just not designed to do, and that’s ok!

Shoshi had tried numerous times to hold her feet and for me I was doing this for the first time 4 months post c-section so a high five was the least we could do to celebrate. 🎉

We all feel such a sense of achievement when we do something that has always felt impossible or so far out of reach, so this is a reminder to always celebrate the wins however small or big! 🙏🏼

If you’re working out on the Mat and Reformer regularly, you’ll certainly be getting some incredible benefits and results.

However, it’s the smaller pieces of apparatus that can truly transform your practice.

Focusing on your individual needs using the intelligence behind the system and its various apparatus will not only provide you with a deeper understanding and intention of each exercise, it will also provide you with greater feedback of where to move and feel from, amplifying your results especially when you get back on the Reformer and Mat.

YOU GET SOOO MUCH STRONGER, more balanced throughout your body and have such a greater understanding of where to move from.

Even as teachers when we focus on those ‘other bits’ of the system it’s always humbling, continually challenging and a reminder of why we are so passionate with sharing the incredible work and intelligence of Joseph Pilates with as many people as possible.

If you’re a Pilates fan try the other apparatus to truly feel the true Pilates magic.

Such a treat to catch up with teacher and friend Shoshi whilst both in Marbella. 😍

Loved every minute being together. It made me even more excited that I’m less than a week away from being with the rest of the Exhale team. 🫶🏼

Also, loved hearing the moans and groans, a reminder I’ve still got it lol

Happy to be getting my teaching voice back and body strong to return to the studios next week for a very full month ahead! 🤸🏻
