A little sneak peek into a session with our apprentices and why Pilates was designed as a system.

Straight talking? If you only ever do matwork, you don’t always get the feedback your body needs to truly understand connection and opposition, especially through your backline.

That’s where the springs come in. The springs teach and guide you.

A perfect example is the arm springs on the Tower. They give you opposition and feedback to help you understand where your arms connect to your back and where the pump of the Hundred should truly initiate from.

That same connection then shows up on the mat, the Reformer and yes… your Teaser too (amongst every other Pilates exercise )

This is why the apparatus and the mat were never meant to be separate. One teaches the other. ✨

The system works because it’s a system, and the real power comes when it all works together. 🤝

My workouts look a little different these days

They’re a lot shorter, louder and usually involve a little person somewhere in the mix. ☺️

But movement still matters, if not more than ever. 🙏🏼

Not because I’m chasing a certain body, but because I want to give something back to me and have the energy, strength and health to keep up with life.

And if Gigi grows up seeing movement as something we do because it makes us feel good and keeps us healthy, then that’s definitely an extra win in my book. 🙌🏼

Shout out to all the mummas out there trying to juggle it all. I see you and am with you 🫶🏼
