March Matness Monday | Week 5 at Primrose Hill

For our final week we had our wonderful teachers Isabelle and Hannah demonstrate exercises 29-34 of the 34 Return to Life Through Contrology sequence.

We had some fun with this one, who can do the seal and the crab without laughing? Pilates - good for the body and for the soul - just how Joe would have wanted it.

The Journey of the Teaser ✨

There’s no better feeling than lifting into your teaser with strength and ease

when your legs just float up from a powerful centre and you stay lifted and scooped through your spine.

But that moment?
It doesn’t happen overnight.

It’s built through consistent, intentional practice, a deep understanding of your body, the movement, and your connection.

Here’s 3 tips on how to transform your Teaser:

• Press firmly into the handles just before you lift to activate your back and upper abdominals - maintain that tension whilst pulling back throughout.
• Focus on spinal articulation, refine your C-curve with half roll backs and roll ups on the mat as well as round back on the short box series
• Support your hip flexors by connecting into your hamstrings glutes and midline (hello, backline strength) think squats, shoulder bridge and swimming

These are the foundations of an intentional teaser.

Use the system,
Understand what your body needs,
Refine the details
And watch your teaser not just improve but transform. 🤸🏻

Because the teaser isn’t just an exercise…it’s not just a V-sit!

It’s a reflection of your built up strength, control, and connection.

And that takes time. ✨

What a group. What a weekend 🤍

Our first weekend of Exhale’s Full Comprehensive Teacher Training always hits differently, it’s where we come back to the beginner work, the true foundation of Pilates. Not just what we do with the body, but how we begin to be in the work as teachers.

And this group…truly something special. 🥰

From apprentices who have been teaching for over 20+ years to those stepping into their very first training, the mix was incredible.

But what mattered most? Open minds, open hearts, and genuine support for one another.

People have travelled from all over the world — Trinidad, South America, Greece, Chicago, North Carolina, Ireland, Poland and even relocating to London to be here.

When you pause and really take that in, it’s humbling beyond words and a true reflection of how far Exhale Education has come and where we are going. 👀

Some came to retrain, feeling gaps in their previous education and wanting to reconnect with the integrity of the work, others to create an entirely new path for themselves.

But everyone shared the same intention: to invest in themselves and to learn this method properly, as a system.
One that they can carry anywhere in the world. 🌍

That level of trust is something I never take for granted.

A powerful reminder that this work is for everyone — no matter your age, experience, or background.

Exhale Education is more than Teacher Training. It’s connection. It’s growth. It’s stepping into something bigger that really is a transformative journey and we are excited to support these apprentices along the way!
